Stray dogs

Something about stray dogs here, the sort of overgrown, mangy hair, is really cute to me.

Maybe it's from watching the movie Lady and The Tramp (I just looked it up on IMDB and it's from 1955!? That's crazy, I didn't realize it was so old) and the street dog is kinda mangy looking with his outline, a little scruffy looking. So when I see that on a dog, they look like a cartoon to me, and I think it's cute.

It was raining today so most of the strays outside were soaking wet, which was sad, but anyways, I go and buy some food from a bakery to take back to work. I had visited some schools today and did some observations, and I was grabbing lunch on my way back to the NIE.

I see this dog as I cross the street, don't really think nothing of it, until about 2 blocks later I look back and see he's following me. I got some stuff in a plastic bag from a bakery so he knows I have food.

He follows me all the way down a pathway next to a street bridge, and even follows me across a pedestrian bridge across a river. I wanted to give the poor little pup some food but knew I shouldn't and didn't want to be feeding strays in front of Armenians as I don't think it's something acceptable here, but I figured if he made it across the bridge and was still there then I might sneak him some.

The dog follows me onto the bridge, but then gets distracted by the water, or something in the water, I don't know. But I turn left once I get off the bridge and I look back after a while and the dog has gotten across the bridge, but he goes straight up the main street, trying to find me, and by then I'm inside so I feel a little sad I didn't give him any food.

Cute dog.
