Armenian Graffiti Part Deux

So these are some of the pictures I had talked about earlier, on the doors of my tutor's apartment complex. Now I've only studied Ukrainian and Serbian (and Bosnian and Croatian, all three are virtually the same) so I can only translate bits and pieces of the Russian, and even then my translations are suspect, but basically they're love poems, I'm pretty sure. Anyone with greater knowledge of Russian feel free to correct me.

The first poem on top I only just saw after I had written the first blog and from what I could make out it has to do with living without someone (first line) is I'm guessing they can't do or would hate to do, then "For me I live, for you I live" The former line I'm not sure, if I knew more context it might make sense, but the latter line definitely sounds like a love poem.

And the second one just keeps saying "My sweetheart, my etc, I'm not sure on the exact mean but I knowing "Duzha" in the third line is something akin to wife or sweetheart, and then the last line, simple: I love you (Ja Ljublju tebya).

So that's the extent of the Armenian graffiti I've seen. Pretty cute. When I find some more and I have my camera I'll probably post them.

  1. I thought I might satisfy (at least) your curiosity about the poems say. The first one (directly under the web):
    My heart
    My tears
    My soul
    You are my life.
    I love you.

The longer one is a little disjointed, but you are right, it says basically "you are my life, you are my light, you are all I need" etc.
    Its pretty interesting graffiti.
